The quality of any day care center is a
direct reflection of its staff. Munchkinland Child Care
recognizes its employees as the center’s most valuable
component. The personnel policies reflect the respect felt
for staff as professionals and provide a basis for understanding
and meeting the needs of both the Center and the families.
For this reason we are committed to providing a working
environment which exemplifies cooperation and support.
The staff members of Munchkinland Child
Care are dedicated to creating a secure, caring, and stimulating
learning environment. All staff members are required to
obtain certification in infant/child CPR, and First Aid.
They attend teacher training throughout the year in the
field of Early Childhood Education. Teachers and assistants
are required to take 30 additional hours of training every
two years. Our teachers exceed the requirements set by the
State of New York for qualification and annual training.
Our qualified teachers hold Degrees in Early Childhood or
in an educationally related field, as well as having years
of experience in a childcare setting.
Prior to hiring, each employee must have
a criminal record check and fingerprinting. We do not hire
individuals convicted of child abuse and/or neglect. We
only accept teachers with a commitment to parents and children.
In order to optimize you child’s growth and development,
we hire teachers who are interested in providing quality
care and stimulating environments.
We maintain the highest standards for all
our employees – conducting exhaustive background checks
and providing them with ongoing opportunities for additional
training and education. Munchkinland is proud of the tenure,
experience, and cultural diversity that our staff has to
offer.
